Helping Connect You With Your Car
About The Business
Take a journey with me into the universe that is your vehicle's motor and better understand the why's and how's of driving yourself around. It is my strong belief that giving others the tools of knowledge is the best way to keep local vehicles not only running properly but environmentally green as well. Every motor is unique in its own way, and has certain capabilities and parameters it must abide by. Making a vehicle run right or pass smog emissions is not just about replacing part. It is an understanding of the science behind the machine. A greater understanding of your car will give you better peace of mind when repairs are needed or a warning light comes on your dash.
Providing the community with professional mobile diagnostics is how BayAreaCarCare plans on sharing knowledge with customers. Having a certified mobile mechanic is the easiest way for you to keep getting around.
About the owner
In 2011, I started my career as an apprentice mechanic at a repair shop in San Francisco. The hands on work combined with guidance of a great mentor allowed me to understand the basic mechanics and advanced science that make any combustion motor work. Those foundational skills have proven useful in correctly diagnosing or repairing any vehicle make/model. Over the years I have attended many diagnostic classes covering a range of topics from engine performance to electronic controlled suspension. I am ASE certified in several categories of car repair, and working to get my smog license.
After working as a professional mechanic for many years, I have realized one thing about the industry I would like to help change: the transparency of work. I believe this business will bring the information and knowledge needed to help individuals understand the process of car repair.
My other passion in life is Martial Arts. I have been training under the guidance of Sensei Will Yturriaga for 10 years, primarily in Shorinji-Ryu Karate. I received my Shodan rank (black belt) and became an instructor at The Martial Arts Academy in 2022. I believe there is a strong correlation between auto mechanics and martial arts. Both demand a great amount of focus, discipline, education and determination to excel. Another similarity is being able to turn a stressful situation into empowering situation. I use these skills every day at work and in the dojo.
